Quatro Four Retail Quatro is an e-commerce company which provides an electronic trading platform connecting retailers to suppliers, wholesalers/distributors and service providers within the retail convenience channel. This is achieved through a suite of e-business applications designed to offer order capture, catalogue management, invoice processing and promotions/trade marketing solutions.

How does Quatro work?
Quatro provides an electronic trading platform which easily connects retailers, wholesalers, manufactures and service providers in the convenience retail industry. By using this platform for online communications and transactions, smaller retailers can secure significant supply chain efficiencies.

What are the main potential benefits of Quatro?
Quatro can be an integral component of many supply chain models. Quatro provides efficient order capture and transaction processing capabilities. It may free up many of your existing resources. By electronically capturing and processing orders, existing resources could be re-deployed to build your business. Additionally, through Quatro's marketing communication services, manufacturers and suppliers can communicate more directly with retailers.

Why should I use Quatro?
Quatro may give you the opportunity to integrate your business with those of your customers, which in turn provides the potential to improve efficiency in your supply chain.

What does Quatro mean / Why call it Quatro?
Quatro stands for four in a number of languages. The four players are retailers, manufacturers, wholesalers and service providers.

Will anything about my delivery system change?
Using Quatro will not affect your deliveries.

Which retailers will be using Quatro?
Quatro is available to all retailers of FMCG products. The focus is on the P&C (petrol and convenience), route and impulse, news and independent grocery sectors right across Australia.

What about retail outlets that use vending solutions?
At this stage, Quatro is NOT designed for the management of vending machines.

What equipment do I need?
For the integration of your computer systems with those of Quatro, an assessment will need to be made by the Quatro technical team, and your own IT personnel. For suppliers whose computer systems are not integrated with Quatro, all you need is a PC with Windows 95 or higher, Internet Explorer 5.5 or later and a dedicated phone line, ASDN or high speed ISDN line.

What will it cost me to use?
Prices are dependent on the services you require from Quatro. These range from order capture, information, integration and marketing communication. If you would like to know more, please contact us.

Are there any setup fees?
There are no initial setup fees or licensing fees. The only costs for using Quatro are transaction costs.

How do I receive my orders?
There are a number of ways to receive orders through Quatro; directly into your ERP system, through a direct login, or via email.

Will retailers know what they are getting after they order?
Quatro's system can provide advanced available-to-promise (ATP) technology. This will work if your ERP system has current stock capability, and is able to communicate this updated information.

How will I get promotions and trade marketing to retailers?
Promotion/trade marketing material may be able to be deployed to retailers through Quatro. A link to enable easy ordering of the product through Quatro can be inserted into the electronic message, so that retailers can act immediately on the offer that has been made. You may for example, use this facility to support a field activity you are currently running.

Can Quatro interface with my ERP or transaction system?
Quatro uses open technical architecture standard, which follow the global FMCG commerce initiative (GCI-UCCNET), enabling integration to many supplier and retail group systems. To find out more please contact us.

What about security?
Quatro offers high levels of security with advanced technology. Transactions through Quatro are secured by advanced encryption technologies, backed up by firewall services and a network architecture that separates core data and services into separate, independently manageable zones. We are constantly upgrading the security of our system environment; as new technologies emerge our measures are adjusted accordingly.

What happens if the Quatro system goes down?
Quatro has a comprehensive disaster recovery plan. Backup and mirroring technologies provide robust measures so that the Quatro system continues to record your orders and transactions for processing.

How does Quatro protect my system from viruses?
Quatro's system currently utilises McAfee virus protection software (used by many major companies across the world) so that our own site is protected and virus free as far as possible. Therefore any registered users logging on to the Quatro web site can be comfortable that reliable measures have been implemented to remove potential virus threats.
However, Quatro recommends that registered users should have reputable virus protection software installed on their computer which is regularly updated with the latest virus pattern definitions.

What happens to order information about me, such as my sales to retailers?
Quatro will NOT disclose order information which may identify you or your customers to other parties. Quatro complies with all applicable privacy laws. Please see the Quatro privacy policy on this site for further details.
