As an independent retailer, how do I receive specials & promotions from a suppliers without a rep?
If your supplier uses Quatro to communicate specials and promotions, you can access them at any time on the Quatro system. Quatro will notify you of these specials and promotions directly through emails and weekly newsletters. They will also automatically appear on your order template, you just add the quantity.

As part of an organised group, how do I receive specials and promotions from my supplier?
Specials and promotions negotiated by your head office appear in electronic form in the Quatro system. Before placing your order you can check your specials and promotions each week.

Why should I use Quatro?
Quatro gives you the flexibility to place orders in your own time with multiple suppliers and obtain product and promotional information and business services. Quatro's range of business technology solutions provide you with the potential to better manage your business, helping to save you time and money.

How does the actual ordering work?
There are a number of ways to place orders with your suppliers through Quatro; by a favourites list, by a recommended order (based on your order history), by using a master catalogue, and from your POS generated orders. You can place all of your orders at once, then Quatro splits the orders into parts relevant to each supplier and sends each electronically to each individual supplier. You will receive order numbers for each supplier order and in most cases the invoice cost. And of course a history of all of your orders is available to you at any time.

Will anything about my delivery change?
No, your current delivery method will not change directly as a result of using Quatro's services. As is the case today, you choose to buy products from the manufacturers and wholesalers who agree with you on the delivery details. Quatro does not interfere in or take responsibility for these.

Will my supplier representatives still call me?
Each supplier will determine its own customer contact and customer service policy.

Can I still call my supplier if I have a problem or need something?
Absolutely. Quatro does not interfere in your relationship with your supplier and is not responsible for matters regarding the relationship, products or trading terms.

What equipment do I need?
In order to access Quatro's web services, all you need is access to a standard PC with Windows 95 or higher, with Internet Explorer 5.5 or later, a modem, a phone line at the store and a internet connection.

Can Quatro connect directly to my own POS system?
The Quatro system can integrate with certain systems that have open technical structure. If you would like to know whether this will work on your system, please contact us.

Does Quatro influence the price of my products?
Quatro has no influence over and in no way has any part in determining prices and deals struck between retailers and their suppliers. The Quatro system is only intended to act as a means of communication and interaction.

How will I know if my order through Quatro has been received by the supplier?
An acceptance of order notification is posted on to your Quatro account, accessed by logging in through www.quatro.com.au

Which suppliers can I order from through Quatro?
Depending on your geographic location, there are a number of different suppliers. It is our goal to have as many of your suppliers as possible available for maximum convenience.

When can I start to order with Quatro?
Providing your supplier is with Quatro you should be able to begin ordering the minute you receive your username and password.

What sort of training will I receive when I join Quatro?
Depending on your geographic location, there are many ways you can learn to use the benefits the Quatro system offers. A Quatro support officer will contact you over the phone or a Quatro field officer will come out to show you how to use the system. Apart from that, there is the 1800 QUATRO (1800 782 876) number as well as a full colour order guide booklet to assist you in using Quatro.

Will I still receive all my discounts and promotions that I usually get from my supplier?
Quatro does not interfere or take responsibility for arrangements between you and your supplier, so previous discounts and promotions should not be affected. Additionally, Quatro users receive benefits not available to non-users provided you place your order prior to your suppliers deadline.
Benefits include:

  • Flexibility of ordering anytime, day or night, 24/7.
  • Comfort in knowing your order details are correct (no more miss-entering orders by tele-sales order calls).
  • Ability to make accurate stock management and order decisions based on previous order data, which may help you to increase cash flow and profit.
  • A weekly order reminder function to ensure that you are reminded to place orders.
  • Your supplier can post announcements to let you know of any specials and promotions (no more waiting for the rep to come in or a phone call to be made).

Will you remind me to use Quatro if I forget to place my order?
Quatro will endeavour to remind you if you have not placed an order.

It's quicker to do my order over the phone, why should I do it through Quatro?
The more times you order through Quatro, the quicker you will find it will be to place an order.
The ability to place orders for products from multiple suppliers on the one order means you may significantly reduce order-making times.

What benefit is there in receiving invoices electronically?
Provided that you are correctly integrated with the Quatro system instead of typing your stock received into your stock management system you can automatically do this through electronic invoices, saving you time and, potentially money. In addition, receiving electronic invoices directly into your POS/BOS system may mean you can update your accounts payable records as well.

How can my stock records be automatically updated?
Supplier invoices may be able to be sent electronically to you. This may save you time for payment scheduling and, provided your system is correctly integrated in the Quatro system, may also update your POS or BOS system.

I am part of a chain, has my head office been informed?
It is your responsibility to ensure that you have all necessary consents and authority to use the Quatro system. However, a number of franchises are working to get online with Quatro.

If I have a problem with my order, whom do I call?
If you have difficulty placing an order through Quatro, please call Quatro 1800 QUATRO (1800 782 876). If you have any difficulties which are not related to the Quatro system please call the supplier.

If I have difficulty using the Quatro system, whom do I call?
Call Quatro 1800 QUATRO (1800 782 876) at any time.

What happens to information about me, such as my email address?
Quatro complies with all applicable privacy laws. Please see the Quatro privacy policy for further details.

Can I register online?

What about security?
Quatro offers high levels of security with advanced technology. Transactions through Quatro are secured by advanced encryption technologies, backed up by firewall services and a network architecture that separates core data and services into separate, independently manageable zones. We are constantly upgrading the security of our system environment; as new technologies emerge our measures are adjusted accordingly.

How does Quatro protect my system from viruses?
Quatro's system currently utilises McAfee virus protection software (used by many major companies across the world) so that our own site is protected and virus free as far as possible. Therefore any registered users logging on to the Quatro web site can be comfortable that reliable measures have been implemented to remove potential virus threats.
However, Quatro recommends that registered users should have reputable virus protection software installed on their computer which is regularly updated with the latest virus pattern definitions.

What happens if my internet connection or the internet breaks down and I cannot place my order?
If you cannot access Quatro due to malfunction with the internet or your internet connection, you should contact your supplier directly and place your orders through them or arrange for alternative arrangements to be made. Since Quatro provides the medium for ordering between you and a supplier, Quatro does not take responsibility for any orders not received/ processed or errors which may occur due to the medium breaking down and you not being able to access it.

How is Quatro different from other so called B2B solutions?
Quatro offers a number of e-business applications, which can benefit retailers in the convenience and route market. These are order catalogue, invoice and promotions or specials communication.
